Hi guys,

Caught you guys back at the forum a few weeks back now, and i must say it was awsome.

I have played the hell out of the full circle dvd and it was great to get to see the real thing...

I have a question, if i may. I seen you all on an oz awards show , and noticed David Briggs on stage. I loved his guitar work , and often wondered about the reasons for his departure from the band, which is my quesion, but a pt 2 to this also is , i would like to know if there is any chance he would or could join you on stage for a show .

Thanks for all the great music .

Cheers

Went to the Saturday night show at Twin Towns. Tickets were a birthday present from my wife Jenny. Thanks for a great night! Have seen LRB (with various lineups)live about 4 times live over the last 20+ years and this was simply the best.

We were at the opening night concert at Brisbanes Expo 88 where we enjoyed a fantastic and exciting evening which I didnt think could be bettered. I was wrong. Last Saturday night exceded our very high expectations. And how good were your other band members!

Several weeks ago we attended the WINTERSUN rock and roll nostagila festival at Coolangatta. Saw some car bumber stickers on 50,s & 60,s cars. I think this sums up the difference between BIRTLES SHORROCK GOBLE v LRB 2005
The sticker said: CLASSIC not PLASTIC

thanks again for the best night ever

Well i saw and heard the show on the 25th at twin towns and brought 4 friends with me-verdict-BRILLIANT. The harmonies wer spot on the band rocked the onstage patter was funny, hard to imagine u guys didnt get along fer so long because last night u looked and sounded like old friends who loved each others voices and songs. Many highlights, obscure album tracks like mistress and days on the road, everyday of my life has always been a fav and beeb was in fine form, even if he forgot the last line. Night owls was great, beeb should have sung it originally, reminiscing was perfect graheam is a great songwriter, the all time favs of help is on the way and cool change were done even better then i remember them at expo 88 glenn is a perfect front man, funny, honest( i was just asking grahem the first line i forgot) gives the other members great introductions and is clearly having a ball, and he writes fantastic songs! Great to hear all 3 great sonwriters and singers in perfect harmony, never will again im sure in this day of idol nonsense.
You may not be the Little river band- But u are the little river band u sound like them u look like them and i just hope those yanks understand the imposters with your name are not the little river band, but Birtles Shorrock and Goble are! thanks for a wonderul night.

Hello Guys,
Thanks for the show at Twin Towns last night and it was FANTASTIC which you guys still rock. I enjoyed Glenn's sense of humour and the back-up musicians were also great including Simon & your 2 drummers were also great doing the Engine Room. I sing along to the songs and I had a great time at the show. I want to thanks again for the show and I hope you guys come back to Brisbane soon which I have already seen Glenn twice which 1st was at Long way to The Top concert in 2002 and by himself last year at Kedron-Wavell which I got his autograph and a photo taken with Glenn but it was the 1st time I've seen Beeb & graham with Glenn and I wish I could have got Beeb's & Graham's autograph but I had a great night anyway. All the best for the US trip and hope to see you guys in Brisbane soon.

Just received the "Full Circle" DVD today. WOW. I'm in awe of just how excellent it is. What talented musicians. It brought back so many memories. My sister and I were talking earlier today of how we first encountered Little River Band when they appeared on American Bandstand in the mid-70's, and we have been hooked ever since. I'm hoping to see the band live here in the States sometime soon. I've not seen BSG together since the "Live Exposure" tour of 1981...so I'm long overdue!

Thanks again to Beeb, Glenn, and Graeham for the wonderful music and inspiration. You and your entire band should be proud of this DVD, and we fans sure appreciate it.

I would like to congratulate BSG on an excellent show at Star City, Sydney on Thursday 23rd June. These guys have got better with age. The harmony was crisp and the young guys in the backing band were superb. It was a trip down memory lane and the audience loved it. A great selection of songs and the boys were having fun. Please come back to Sydney again, you will always be remembered as one of Australia's greatest music pioneers of the 70's and 80's.
Thanks for a great show!

Just wanted to let you know that I saw the Birtles, Shorrock and Goble show @ StarCity Casino here in Sydney last night and it was trully brilliant! A friend of mine said that they saw the band in Geelong, Victoria and said that if you close your eyes it will take you back to all those years ago to LRB. He was not wrong!I saw LRB at Festival Hall at the peak of their career and they were fantastic but even after so many years the harmonies are still 100%. Well done and I would love to see the band again when they are here in Sydney again. Also, the young musicians were also the cream of the crop - excellent show. Thankyou for bringing so many great memories back for me.

Where do I begin, the DVD ("Full Circle")is so good that it is hard to put into words. Thanks guys for all the work you put in to this project, it was worth waiting for. An additional thanks to the rest of the guys in the band. You fit in so well and bring so much to the table.
LRB music has been so much of a part of mine and my wife Nelly's life. We watched "full Circle" together as soon as we got it. We were both BLOWN AWAY with the 30 song DVD, and we can't wait for a tour in the USA.
We had the pleasure of meeting Beeb and his family at our son's garduation from the University of Georgia as his daughter Hanna was also graduating as well. Beeb, wife Donna daughter Hanna and daughter Emma were all so nice and spent a few minutes just talking. A time Nelly and I will never forget.
Thanks Beeb for staying in touch over the years!

Hi BSG,
23/06/05

I have been a fan of LRB since 1977,when i joined a band who spent most of the time touring the North east of England, playing clubs,They introduced me to LRB, and " days on the Road " became like an Anthem. In the early eighties I formed a covers band, and i introduced them to LRB and we use to do play lots of your songs.I am still performing and writing today (in fact i am 55 today and feeling very melancholy, as i think back),but I have to say that you guys have given me so much pleasure.Your Feel,Melodic songs and perfection, are second to none.I managed to get a copy from Oz,of your DVD,and it is Superb.I hope I don't sound too over the top,but I just wanted to voice my gratitude.

Yours Sincerely,

Colin Mackay.

Every human needs to pay attention to the words of the first song Full Circle. It doesn't just apply to the LRB's past. There's not a human alive that won't benefit from a change of heart every once in a while. BSG, you do not need your original name to prove your talents even if there's just one person in the crowd.

Hello,
After many years of trying I finally got a recording of 'A little ray of sunshine'. A special song for me as I used a couple of lines from the chorus on the announcement card of my daughters birth. At last she could hear (and my wife) what a beautiful song it is. I was a bit apprehensive as to what it would sound like after all these years but it didn't let me down. It's an all-time classic as far as I'm concerned.
Anyway, I just wanted to pass it on to Mr. Shorrock.

Gentlemen,

I purchased "Full Circle" on CD & DVD last year and both format's are just amazing. The sonic quality and the band is just wonderful. Your voices brought chills as they sounded like 1978 and I was so impressed how your lead guitarist (Simon Hosford) was electricfying and knew the solos almost to a "T".

I am a DJ and I play tracks all the time in my live show and I do backsell the tracks as "Birtles , Shorrock & Goble". It seemed that all my fans knew just who BSG is and from my website and newsletter "The Travers Report" in which I have been writing about your re-formation for close to a year.

We here, especially myself are looking forward to a USA Tour this year (2005). You'll do just fine. Thad will put the icing on my concert schedule this year. Just think
Don Henley/Stevie Nicks, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers / The Black Crowes, Neil Diamond, Loggins & Messina (Reunion Tour), Def Leppard/Bryan Adams, Paul McCartney & hopefully now - Birtles, Shorrock & Goble

Please let me know ahead of time when you hit the states so I can begin my own promotion for the tour. "BS&G 2005" See you there.

I have greatly enjoyed the integrity of sound and message that is The Little River Band for over 25 years. I have been fortunate to experience the band live on many occasions. The first time I saw the band was in St. Louis (early 1980s). They were touring with America, and to be honest, I had very little knowledge of the band at that time. America was the opening act and they were great. When LRB hit the stage and they started playing and harmonizing, well, it was pure magic! I was hooked and have been a strong and faithful fan ever since. Over the years the band's music has touched me in very special ways. I would love to be able to once again witness the magic of Birtles, Shorrock and Goble. Please be sure to stay in touch with your fans and let us know when you will be back in the states. You three have a special gift and I'm looking forward to more from BSC, more music, more LIVE concert performances. I've seen LRB 3 times (78, 92 or 93 and 95). Hey Guys!!! Got the DVD from HMV in Australia and was lucky enough to get one that was left over from the autograph session!!! GREAT DVD!! Haven't seen you guys on video since the old days of laserdisc and my copy of 'Live Exposure' from 1982!! Anyway, I really look forward to the U.S. release of the DVD (I'll buy it again out of support) and I really look forward to seeing the 'real' LRB in the guise of BSG this summer!!!

Good luck and see you over here in the U.S.!!!

Those of us who are expatriate Auzzies living in the US, are just dying for you to come over and show our friends why the classic lineup was (is)so very successful and the other guys while good musicians ARE NOT really the LRB. They may own the name but not our hearts. Please schedule a North American tour ASAP and include Las Vegas. Air Supply is here all the time, are they really the best showcase of the talents from down under?. Look forward to an announcement SOON.

I have been a LRB fan from the begining. I have every CD, including "Full Circle". I would like The Full Circle DVD for Region "1" and some more DVD's of BSG and LRB.

What about a US Tour. Every time I play some LRB music for people, it's like they are meeting a new band for the first time. I usually play the complete CD's and they hear songs they have never enjoyed before. You could have a new fan base if you promote here in the USA.

BSG was and always will be the central people of LRB, let hears some new songs on a new CD.

Also -- I'm looking for any LRB/BSG sheet music/songbooks, especially "Please Don't Ask Me".

Long time fan of Beeb, Glenn & Graham! I have especially loved many of the "catchy" songs that Graham has written, thru the years. Since I've been here in the U.S. waving the "Little River Band" flag since the "Diamantina Cocktail" album, I was wondering (like many others here from the U.S., that have also been longtime fans) when or "IF" there will be a "Region 1" version of the "Full Circle" Live DVD? I feel I bit cheated that these releases aren't being released in the U.S. too! For a while, before John Farnham got involved, the U.S. wanted "LRB", more than their own country!

PLEASE give us the DVD to watch too!

In what way can we express how much we love and miss you all and what wonderful feelings arise when we hear your music, not to mention how we could feel hearing it live again and after turning 40 last year I could use recapturing a little of my youth! Please check in with your loyal fans at your earliest convenience and if it means a limited tour, I personally am willing to go the extra mile or even 1000 miles if I have to. Hello guys,
My name is Luke, I'm 26 and I am from brisbane,Queensland. I have known the music of Little River Band since the 90's and I have 3 of the LRB albums the self-titled album,Dimatina Cocktail & Monsoon, the BSG live CD & the DVD which I have some of it but it's very good. I'm sure that you guys are amazed that the music you guys made in the 70's & 80's has stood the test of time. Congratulations on your induction into the ARIA Hall Of Fame which you deserve it because you've done so much for Australian music. I saw Glenn Shorrock twice which the first was at the Long Way To The Top concert in Brisbane on September 10th 2002 with the Twilights & Axiom and the 2nd was at Kedron-wavell Services club on April 8th this year on his own which he was fantastic doing a mixture of LRB,Axiom,Twilights & solo stuff and got an autograph after the show which I had a taken with him as well. I have a Zoot greatest hits CD which as we all know Beeb was in. Is there any plans for you guys to be touring Australia in 2005 or not because I have not seen you guys yet but I do hope you come back to brisbane and when will you be working on the new album. I want to say Happy New Year guys and hope to see you soon. One more question for Beeb & Glenn is that would you like to see the Twilights & Zoot be inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame because those bands did so much for Aussie rock as well.
Keep up the good work guys
From Luke

Hi all,

The "Its a Long Way There" DVD is a Little River Band product and has nothing to do with BSG, other than they feature in it rather heavily (interviews and most of the music). I understand that EMI Australia will release this product soon, but that there is some problem with Trademark that has postponed it a few weeks from its original release date of 18th of October. It should be out in the USA next year to help celebrate the 30 years since LRB formed.

Glenn, strange as it may seem, one of your songs was the reason I joined the US Navy......"Cool Change" so touched me and here after retiring with 24 years, it still brings a tear to my eye...beautiful words always do. My favorite of the LRB's work is "Hard Life", however

Here's hoping that all of your hopes are met and that BSG make it Ohio.

They don't seem to be available anymore.
Some of my favourite LRB tracks are on the albums - not the main hits available on "greatest hits" CD's.
Please contact me if anyone can tell me where they are available from (in Australia) - or if they are not available anywhere if they can make copies for me (especially After Hours)!

The Full Circle DVD is great and it has just rewet my appetite for songs such as Take me Home, Another Runway, Country Girls, Fall From Paradise, Light of Day etc.

The reunion concerts, especially at the Basement were wonderful. Congratulations to Glenn for last Friday 3rd September's great gig. You are three of our greatest musicians... and the young gun players backing you these days are grand.

All the Best

Hi Beeb, been viewing your web site and I congratulate you on a job well done! It warms my heart to read your biography as it brings back so many memories. Your music, right from Zoot, who I first saw at Scots Church on North Tce. in Adelaide through to Frieze when Zora and I lived ,round the corner from you in Balaclava, has been a lifelong experience! I loved the photo of you and Darryl Cotton together again at your reunion. It was as if time stood still. LRB kept my memories alive even though I lived in England. I managed to see you in Sheffield, where you agreed to see me backstage. (1977) Recently (2003) you agreed to see me at Day on the green in Perth. That's a long time between gigs, but it shows how you've always been so generous and giving of your time to your fans. Please keep giving us regular updates on BSG and your lovely family. Maureen xx

Come on guys, get your act together, pull your finger out and make some new music. You have teased your ever loyal fans for long enough now. We, the fans have been "staying tuned" to this site for such a long time and there does not seem to be any sign of life. What are you up to? Are you going to release any new music or what?

I have followed your music as individuals in various bands from the 60's back in Adelaide right through to current times. Your songwriting tallents are second to none and your hormony exquisite but please give us more!!!

WOW!

My dream has come true. hearing that you guys are back together is tremendous news! When you guys were LRB I enjoyed your music so very much, and when it was over I thought there goes a great group of very talented performers never to be duplicated again. That was so very true. I always wished you guys would re-unite and here you are back at it again! The best news I could ever hear. The last time I saw you was in Wilkes Barre Pennsylvania where you began the show with acoustic versions of a few songs. You announced that those songs were done with the "Cheap" guitars and that the rest of the show would be with the "Expensive" guitars.... Do you remember that Glenn? That was the last I remember you, and I look forward to seeing you again here in the states. Is it possible??? Please come top Phoenix AZ for many shows. You will sell out "No Doubt" Hey I'm in my later 40's now and it's nice to know that I may still get a chance to see, hear and possibly meet the "GREATEST BAND EVER" once again!!!

Way to go Beeb, Glenn, Graham and the rest of BSG.

Are your CD's available here in the states yet.

With the new lineup they sound even better. They,re a talented bunch! Iv,e known Beeb since Zoot days and am thrilled he,s doing so well. Thanks god they are back...........

Beste Wünsche und Grüsse aus good old germany

Ralf

Your Feedback:

I last saw a version of the Little River band in the early 90's. Beeb was not there but the show was great. The tour was recorded for a live album. I had not seen LRB since 1979-1980. I still remember the excitement when I first saw the Monsoon album (yes album) on the shelf at the local record (yes record) store when it first came out. They were back together again. The sound was incredible. It has been much too long since "Get Lucky". I've waited and waited while many other bands got back together but the LRB that has been touring was not the LRB that I loved. The sound of those three voices. Now they are back. I have the new DVD and could not believe when I heard "Home on Monday" for the first time live. It is my favorite LRB song. Everytime I play any LRB album the songs are as fresh now as they were when I first heard them. I cannot contain my excitement as I continue to wear out the dvd. You still have the majic. Please come to America? thank you

I hope that Graham, Beeb and Glenn will also visit Europe and especially Germany where there's still a great flock of enthusiastic fans of their unforgotten sound.
