WOW!! This is absolutely excellent. I just found this today. Over the years I have seen many versions of this band and have almost always been disappointed. I located your classics on MySpace and I am still just completely blown away. No disrespect to Wayne or Steve, but you three are the best. Please, keep this thing going and keep the true voice alive. It was a pleasure to enjoy these memories once again.

September 1977. That's when I heard "I'll Always Call Your Name" on the radio. Being a professional musician, I knew you guys were something special, and proceded to my local music store to purchase LRB's 1st LP on the Harvest lable. I've purchased EVERY USA released LP on their original release date, and a huge fan ever since. It's been 30 years, we've more grey hair and we're still in this crazy business. You guys are still my favorite band, besides The Beatles of course, but a real close second! If you ever need a FOH Engineer in the US, look me up. Thanx for the memories!

I'm listening to your full circle cd right now as I'm writing this e-mail. Amazing!!! Your song cool change is all about what you band sounds like today. The music you guys laid down on this cd is like a very cool change in all respects. Your classic hits have an awesome jazzy feel with some added guitar rifts, the strings sound great and the band from the guitars to the drums and the piano is very tight. The other songs Seine city, etc are just a pleasure to hear. Good job on the full circle cd, I just wish I was at the concert to have listened to such heartwarming and delightful music. You guys have a great sound that has not diminished over the years and I feel lucky to have found your music. I've had this cd for over a year now, and I play it more than any other cd currently in my collection. Please tell me that someday that will tour on the west coast, I will be the first in line to buy the tickets . Keep on keeping on. Best of luck to such a great band !.

Your Feedback:

I have been a fan of the LRB since 1981 and spent the best years of my life in India in the Medical College at Vellore, listening to the Little River Band. Can you beleive it? Half way across the globe, in a country like India listening to a group from OZ!!! I was not the only one. They were very popular among the medical students. Time Exposure has been my favouite.
I have overplayed my cassetes and bought the CD collections. However,no CD in the market has the song "Suicide Boulevard" on it. Can someone help me here?
Now the irony is that, I have moved to Adelaide 3 years ago and have dreamed of listening to LRB but had a rude shock to know that they cannot perform under that name etc.. I would love to listen to BSG, missed the 2006 tour. Any dates out for 2007?
Any chances of an Adelaide performance?

Just recently purchased "Full Circle" DVD and was absolutely blown away from start to finish. What an incredible night. We would have loved to have been there since we are by far your biggest fans. Wouldn't a New Orleans performance be a wonderful way of helping bring back a city and region desperately in need of support. Ya'll are truly an inspiration for all former musicians from that era that's still got it. Peace and Love and hope to see you soon in the Big Easy.

Your Feedback:

Reading the vast number of posts on here from American fans, even Europeans, not to mention younger fans like me - it really blew me away. I mean, when they say 'international success', the full scope of that is sometimes lost on us down here... it's obviously a tribute to the strength and mass-appeal of that amazing, distinctive, Little River Band sound, to span continents as well as generations. As Australians, it's always exciting to see something home-grown catch on around the world in such a big way. We always knew we were on to something special here...

Graeham - Stating the obvious, but your songs are simply amazing. Who else in the whole genre can write songs and arrangements like that? Some of your classics fill up the top spots on my list of all-time favourites.
Beeb - your distinctive voice (and also, I think, great accent) contribute so much to that unique LRB harmony sound. In the really dense chords it's often your line that stands out so I can follow the tune.
And Glenn - well, you've always been my favourite, so what more need I say? Just one of my favourite voices, anywhere, that I never get tired of hearing. What you did to Reminiscing that time...

Anyway, keep doing what you're doing guys, it's great stuff.
PS. Picked up a copy of the CD today, as a late birthday present. Hours of listening ahead!

I was shocked to hear that BSG formerly known as the Little River Band was back making music together. Guy's you have touched so many lives with your music. Please keep it going your trio was ment to be together "A Higher Calling." I was listening to one of my favorite LRB hits today 11/01/06 " Cool Change (Glenn Lead). I was born in the sign of water and spent many nights at sea as a U.S. Coast Guard Member. It is kinda of special feeling when your out on the sea alone. Great Song! I have been a LRB fan from the 70's through the 90's. You all three are an inspiration keep it real and Go BSG! Ken

Throughout the endless mucking out and gutting of our house following Hurricane Katrina, I kept replaying the lines in my head,..."now that my life is so prearranged, I know that it's time for a cool change..." Your songs truly have been part of the soundtrack of our lives since my husband and I fell in love with LRB in 1979. Your harmonies are incredible..We saw the touring band calling itself LRB a few years ago in New Orleans and, while it was good to hear the songs again, I now know after reading your site that the something that was missing was the heart of the band--you all. Please come to New Orleans (or some place close!) and give us BSG! Thank you for your music.

When I was a desperately home-sick Australian living in London in the late 80's-90's, surrounded by poverty, grime, John Major and IRA bombings, the one thing that kept me going through it all was a copy of Long Way There (and the occasional packet of Tim Tams). Thanks for being that little link to home, a better life and understanding how homesick a person can be a billion miles from Australia. (I still own a much played vinyl copy of Long Way There!).

I've been a LRB fan since day one...Primarily just the 1975-81 lineup...as far as I'm concerned...that was when the best material was written and performed.

I recall Glen Frey of The Eagles commenting that LRB was the best harmony band in the world..and he should know...I would agree

I have been waiting patiently to see if any plans to reissue and remaster that early segment of the band....such as rarities..B-Sides and unreleased tracks?? ONE WAY RECORDS did...but they disappeared quickly and the price has skyrocketed for the remaining discs. If anybody out there has some clout......HELP!!!!

Thank you for inspiring my nine year old son. Travis has been listening to your music for a little while now and enjoyed many evenings with his grandfather and father (who are also BSG fans) singing along with your songs. Their version of Cool Change with Travis either taking the lead or harmony is one to be heard. They recently attended your performance at Twin Towns on the Gold Coast. Oh what a night! Granddad very proud to have his son and grandson share the evening. It was a hugh thrill for Travis to meet you all after the show. Ever since, Travis has not stopped singing your songs. It doesn't matter whether we have a 1 minute trip in the car or a 1 hour drive, your Full Circle CD is permantently on. Every night Travis goes to sleep with Full Circle playing. You have inspired him so much, that for his 10th Birthday party in two weeks time, he is having a talent quest. Guess who is the main act? Yes, Travis singing Help Is On Its Way followed by Cool Change. He even has you all down on his guest list. Oh what a surprise if you walked in the door and joined him. It would be the ultimate for Travis. His treasured signed Full Circle holds pride of place in his bedroom. We have now named Travis a BSG aholic. You have become an important part in his life, and in these times, I think its essential that he has someone like you guys in which to build his life on. So, thank you. I couldn't ask for a better role model in the music industry for him. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

This is a personal 'thank you' to Glenn, Beeb and Graeham for "being" in my life since 1976. You music has always been an inspiration to me and has helped me through many of life's challenges when I needed a 'friend'. I saw LRB in Birmingham, England in the 80's (Yes I know you could'nt be there Glenn, but Johnny Farnham did a fantastic job in your absence!) and I was like a kid on Christmas morning. The song 'Borke Again' off Diamantina Coctail remains to this day, the song I use to get me through.
Thanks for releasing the BSG DVD. I can now show my kids how a great harmony vocal band can do it live without pitch shifting computer effects.

All the best to you and your families from mine

Hello fellas!! Saw BSG for the third time last night 31st August 2006, wow as always brilliant!! You have the perfect vocal blend, i think Glenns voice is bluesier as he gets older, but i really like it, the growl in the voice sits perfectly nestled in with the beautiful voices of mr Birtles and Mr Goble.I loved everything about the show as always Cool change, help is on its way, mistress of mine, long way there, Lady, night owls and everyday of my life are the highlights in a set with no weak moments at all. I really hope to hear some new songs soon, and i really really hope you can go to the states and show those bloody imposters up for the lousy cover band they are!!!

Star City Tuesday night 29th August 2006. What a tremendous concert. Glenn,Beeb and Graeham really put on a show which I thought was even better than the full circle show in Sydney. Another DVD would be a bonus. The support of the other band members especially Simon on lead guitar certainly captured the original LRB sound. The only regret is that these concerts are a rarity. I will constantly be on the lookout for the next one.

Personal story... i met my wife Mary Clare in "78, and on our first date i played "Happy Anniversary" for her (as well as all the other songs on the Diamontina Cocktail album) She fell in love with me (and with the LRB!) But i got the better part of the deal... we're still happily married, and just listened to some of the Birtles/Shorrock?Goble LRB songs tonight.

Any chance you guys will play in Southern California in the near future??

I was shocked to see the new line-up of the LRB. I sorry to say it was a complete fraud.
They even had a new guitarest taking Steve Housden spot.
What happened to Steve? They are ripping the public off with that show. Absolute "tribute band".
I love the LRB. That was not the LRB. Good luck to you guys. I will look foward to seeing you when you come to the states!!!!

I just saw the fakes playing near my hometown in Indiana, USA...this was my first time at seeing LRB in concert - and boy, was I sure in for a blow when, after buying a ticket, and 1/2 way through the concert, they announced each member of the band - and I'm thinking: "These aren't the original guys!!" I had no idea. It was bascially a tribute band. I'm sure the arena owner would have liked to know that were not the REAL MCCOYS!! (not to mention, the fans who thought they were getting the real thing)....I would think, from a legal standpoint, that they would have to put something on the billing stating they are not the real thing. Anyhow, it was a pleasant surprise to find BSG's homesite and to be able to purchase recent REAL LRB music!!
How can those fakes live with themselves.. how pathetic.

Hey Guys,
Been a fan since i saw LRB in Jacksonville Fl in the 70s. I've been playing in Original & cover bands most of my life and you guys were and still are a major influence. I kinda lost track of y'all after most of the orig. members departed but recently I sold a midas board to the FOH guy for the current line up which made me look into what you guys have been up to. I couldn't believe that I didn't know about the BSG thing y'all were doing. I immediatly bought the dvd and read the whole story on your site and others. Holy Crap! you guys definitly stepped up and laid claim to what is rightfuly yours!! they can play your parts and even buy your name but the BSG vocal blend is non-transferable! as well, the band you guys put together is awsome to say the least. Simon Hosford's guitar leads were the perfect blend of originality and being respectful of signiture type leads that really needed to be unchanged. Same Kudos to the rest of the line up, I could go on and on... I would like to say thanks for all of the great music you guys have created and please keep it up! I'd also like to say that I have no problem with the other guys playing under the LRB name although it's obvious they're milkin it hard. as a musician, I hate "tribute" bands. playing in a cover band is one thing, but dressing up like someone and pretending to be them and making money playing all of their songs is wrong. When I was 12, I use to dress up like Mark Farner and play my guitar. but i never considered making a living doing it. Apparently, the current LRB doesn't realize that once you guys came back, regardless of what you are called, they are now just a "tribute" band. sorry guys, but it's true!! the lawers might win on paper, but the fans get to choose who's who! Good luck Guys, sincerly, Mike/629 band www.myspace.com/sixtwonine

This is my 3rd attempt to sign the guestbook, and I hope it's successful this time. I've enjoyed reading all the signees' comments, and it pretty much reflects what most long-time fans of Beeb, Glenn, and Graeham's feel. I too literally grew up on the CLASSIC Little River Band music, from the time I was 14. I share Beeb's birthday, and will be 42 this year (time sure does fly by!) I am sure all of your fans discovering this site and signing in will join me in saying to you guys and hoping that a concert promoter can be found soon that will be willing to promote you on a world tour. All this promoter has to do is advertise "Birtles, Shorrock, Goble"....we KNOW who you are! The "Full Circle" DVD is AWESOME! It's the first time for me to see an actual concert of all three of you at one time, even though I've been to 3 LRB concerts (1983, 1985 & 1992). Nothing beats seeing you guys perform LIVE, and I hope the DVD isn't the closest to a live performance that I'll ever get (although I'm eternally grateful to have the DVD). Please keep us updated on the latest with you. And, Graeham...thanks for emailing me on BSG's present legal situation. I look forward to getting your solo CD next month. Take care from HOTlanta!!! Hey guys,

it´s a mess living so far away from australia.
I was born 1970 and from the moment I was 14 years old a big LRB fan was grown up in Germany.
Time after time all members have changed or left the band, and it´s hard to follow the different ways, each member choose. The only way is to leave a message in a guestbook - and hard to know - never will see you again on stage in Germany - cause not only record´s make a fan still happy!

The same to John, LRB, David, Derek...

What a mess to live in Germany...

Hey guys!
I saw you perform at Star City Casino in June '05. It was fantastic! Watching live up and close, it sounded awesome! I'm 18 and currently doing my HSC in Sydney, and obviously an eagar music student. I play guitar and also in a band, nothing like you guys, but you have to start somewhere hey! My Dad and I constantly take out the Full Circle DVD and play it at maximum volume, it can never be too loud!

I was also truely captivated and inspired by Simon Hosford's performance, especially in 'Prelude in A minor'. Ever since i heard that i thought I'd love to be able to play that for my HSC, but i can't find the sheet music for it anywhere. I'd really, really appriciate it if you would be able to tell me 'if' and 'where' i would be able to find it, if possible...

Thank you for an unforgetable performance and i hope to hear that you will be coming back to Sydney in the not so distant future! Keep those tunes coming!!
Yours Sincerly,
Michael

Great page! Great DVD! I love LRB and BSG! My father and me, we truly belong to the most exalted fans!!! From him, I know the band and he will always remember his first experience with the music, being in an LP-store here in Cologne and there was this extremely loud song, which later chrystalized out as NIGHT OWLS. He asked the store owner to turn down the music for a little (as he was looking for some classical stuff), but the store owner simply answered: "NO!" And then, my father understood why... - this song was just marvelous!!! So, I will also never forget this story, which took place in the late seventies.

I believe devoutly, that there are thousands & thousands of fans in Germany, Holland and all over Europe who would squeal with glee if BSG visited us!!!

YOU ARE IN OUR HEARTS.... FOREVER!!!

Brian Wilson did it and made Mike Love look like an idiot with his phony "Beach Boys" touring band. Hi guys, just received your DVD Full Circle last week and I must say it is if I listen to LRB in the seventies and early eighties. What Glenn says is absolutely true, We are not LRB but we damned well sound like them !!
It is about time you guys are coming to Holland, because I am sure there are still a lot of fans waiting for you ! The only time I was lucky to see LRB was in 1983 in Den Haag, but it was without Glenn and with John Farnham. Don't get me wrong, he is also an excellent singer, however, I had hoped to see the original line up with Glenn.
If you read the reactions of Dutch people that went to the Arrow Rock Festival in Holland last year, you'll see that a lot of people went to see LRB but knew that they would see a copy of the great LRB of the seventies and the early eighties. And they all say they are hoping to see the "real guys" soon in Holland. So, don't hesitate and let us enjoy !!!!!!!!!!!!

Got the "Full Circle CD" last week. This is truly a reminicing of the good old days. Great album!!! Handmade music, great voices better than ever.
Now I am sitting on my piano every day, try to find the chords of "Help is on its way" and "Man on Your Mind" (getting better every day).
But my number one is: "It's a Long Way There". This song means so much to me. I just have one wish for 2006 - to see BSG live on stage or in my living room round the piano ;-)

I was born in 1969, so when LRB was on stage my mother told me to play Rachmaninoff,Bach and Brahms on the piano. Then in 1990/91 I started to find my own way. I found LRB, but no way to see them live. And now. I waited so long and there is a chance to see and hear the original voices. Great pleasure.

Will this dream come true? It seems to be "A Long Way There". I hope you guys will soon come to Europe, please keep a ticket for me.

Greetings from Baden-Baden (Black Forrest)

Your Feedback:

You know if radio would have jumped on the recording of this CD or DVD it would have sold better than LRB's greatest hits collection. This performance is stunning. Now I'm going to touch on a few harder rock bands to make a point. This album is one of the best live albums ever released. It stands in the same company as Bob Seger "Live Bullet", U.F.O. "Strangers In The Night", Peter Frampton "Frampton Comes Alive", Chicago "Live at Carnegie Hall" and Thin Lizzy "Live And Dangerous".

The song selection is right on. Not just the hits we expect but all the important album tracks. It's these album tracks that mean the most to me. The masterfully played Spanish guitar intro and Mistress Of Mine, Everyday Of My Life and Home On Monday just to name a few.

BIG QUESTION: WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO PLAY ST. LOUIS, MO? AMERICA SIMPLY MUST SEE YOU GUYS, THE REAL LITTLE RIVER BAND. You know I've seen the latest LRB a couple of times. They're OK, mostly because it is the only outlet to hear LRB songs in a live setting, but there is literally no one there except the bassist and he is not original.

BIGGER QUESTION: WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO PLAY ST. LOUIS, MO? SHOW THIS BAND THE WAY TO ST. LOUIS. REMEMBER PLAYING THREE SOLD-OUT NIGHTS IN A ROW? WE LOVE YOU IN ST. LOUIS. DID I MENTION YOU NEED TO PLAY ST. LOUIS?

BEST WISHES AND MUCH LOVE,

The DVD is wondrous, the CD was good but the video, the extra songs, and the DTS sound on the DVD make it really special. Glenn's performance on the new song "Deep Water" is perhaps his greatest vocal ever.

Can't wait for BSG to start touring the states so us yanks can enjoy them live.

My only "complaint" about the DVD is that it did not include "It's Not a Wonder" which is one of LRB's best live songs! Ya gotta bring that one back... I also hope that "I'll Always Call Your Name" remains a part of the concert playlist... and how about the acapella version of "Face in the Crowd" that you teased us with in the DVD's closing credits?!?

Best wishes for a successful 2006!!!

Hello all. I have my American version of Full Circle now. I have placed the other copy I have of the initial release in protective custudy. It's autographed by BSG and I want to keep it that way for ever. Beeb recently had a B-Day, "Happy Birthday Beeb". Hope you guys can get over here next year and do a few shows. I also hope you are working on a new collection of music for us fans who would love to hear from you. Merry Christmas to all and I hope you get your favorite BSG item for Christmas.

on UK tour 2006....Plymouth Pavillions with Beckley and Bunnell as support act.mmmm nice especially if my lady and me had a backstage pass
I know its a long long way here but
on reflection The Eden Project Cornwall would be a more fitting venue for Australias' Finest seeing as there are so many paths up the mountain and the natural acoustics would suit those cool changes.
Oh no that red headed wild flower mistress of mine diamantina is workin all kinds of witchery causing me to fall from paradise and start reminiscing..please tell me help is on its way before i fall through the net like the night owl in that piece of a dream i had about emma emma emmah skating on thin ice with no reins in the cold light of day.

I am a huge fan of west coast music scene in general, but when I got a hold of this DVD, which by the way was recommended by a friend, it's been in the DVD player ever since. I am one of those late bloomers who really got into LRB as of in the mid 80's and have no regrets. I have had to get the whole back catalog during the past few years. The live DVD contains 20 to 30 songs which are all great and which I will recommend to anybody who likes the mixure of Pop and Rock & Roll
To me and many more LRB and now Birtles Shorrock Goble must be the fines band ever coming out of Australia....

Congrats on the Full Circle DVD/CD! I've got both and it's just like it was back in 1979 all over again listening to Lonesome Loser!!

When do we get to welcome BSG to the legendary Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa? Everyone knows about this shrine which is where Buddy Holly played his last show before the plane crash. This is the real Rock and Roll Hall of Fame because history was and is still being made here. Let's go "Reminiscing" at the Surf sometime!!

Hey guys!

I was so glad to see & hear the main arteries (BSG)and geniuses of music come 'full circle' to re-unite your outstanding talents for the legions of fans across the world!

From the first ever song that I heard (It's a Long Way There), I became a total, loyal fan. Little River Band has always been my top favorite band of all times. I've experienced the concerts up at Lake Tahoe here in Calif.

The new DVD is totally awesome. I've even shared it with some friends. One of the things I've most enjoyed is when someone hears some of your music but doesn't know who LRB is. And when they hear the music (which they Love!), the look on their face is total 'shock n'all!'

You are greatly loved and appreciated by more than you know! Please put Northern Calif. on one of your next tours here in the USA! You truly are the 'Best of the Best!'

Much success and fortune to you all!

Sincerely, Don Wahl

I have always loved the LRB and their music, and saw them in 1990 and 1992 in Seattle. I noted that none of the three wise men of BSG were in the band, but thought that they were outstanding shows anyway.
But- days ago when my brother brought over his recently purchased DVD of BSG live in 2003, I about fell over backward, the musicianship and feeling is incredible, to have the songwriters sing their own songs really turns up the voltage, I think.
I am spreading the word, and hope fervently that they will tour the USA, we would certainly brave long lines, rabid wombats and crocodiles to be in the front row, I can tell you!
Cheers to BSG and the band for such a great from-the-heart performance, they have certainly not slipped at all, but are driving onward and upward always.
Sincerely, Dave Cray.

We hope so. If you do a tour of the US PLEASE include Nashville!! We just watched the Eagles Farewell 1 concert DVD and didn't know BSG had a DVD out. It's definitely on our "MUST GET" list. I'm really happy to see that the three founding members of the Little River Band are back together! I have been a fan of yours since the late 70's. I remember going to a concert in the early 80's at the Carlton Dinner Theatre in Bloomington, MN. - durint the show one of the guitar amps fell over and made Graeham Goble jump! I wish you could re-unite with your former Bassist George McArdle. I think his style and technique made some of your earlier songs stand out!

I hope you come back Minneapolis some day!

This is a second entry. I felt compelled to make this entry after having watched the new DVD several times after it went on sale here June 7.
Beeb, Glen and Grham are talents that are unmatched as individuals and once they perform together it's hard to believe they ever split up. Together they are a force to be reconed with!
I would also like to mention that the boys in the band, Dorian, Simon, jason and the engine room Alejandro and Dave are all unbeleavable talents and give new energy to BSG. One has to watch the DVD several times to actually see and hear all that the band adds to the songs. It's almost as if the songs are all new again! The new songs are Fantastic. Thank you all for all the hard work and dedication to BSG!

I was truly impressed with your backing band too. First rate musicianship all the way. The "Engine Room" is awesome! Thanks for allowing us to once again enjoy those exceptional harmonies that only the original members of LRB can produce. When Glenn Frey said you had the best harmonies in the business he wasn't kidding! Hope you will decide to tour in North America once again! G'Day to each of you!

It was fantastic to meet you all, and thank you most sincerely Glen, for your kindness and generosity. Beeb, thankyou for your friendliness, wonderful nature and smile and Graeme your openess, great conversation and company. To the band you certainly know how to party. It was great to laugh with you all.

I was so thrilled to be able to join you guys on the Saturday night and then after, when certainly I was at a loose end.

I wish you wonderful times ahead and hopefully the gold at the end of the rainbow??

EVERY GOOD WISH FOR THE FUTURE OF THE BAND. HOPEFULLY ALL HOPES AND ASPIRATIONS WILL COME TO FRUITION FOR YOU ALL!!!!

Please.... if you are ever on the Sunshine Coast, make contact with us, most definitely, so I can return the most wonderful hospitality you afforded to me so generously at Twin Towns in June 05. The Invitation is open for a beer/wine and a barbi. Comeand enjoy the ocean view from our deck!!

I just bought the BSG DVD,and I must say that it exceeds expecations. The voices still sound great and the new songs are good(especially "Photogenic"),which bodes will for future recording efforts. Before playing the DVD,I knew that Graeham & Beeb's voices would still sound good, but I was worried about what Glenn would sound like, especially because,on the last live recording that I heard of him(an early 1990's Australia-only live CD by a later LRB line-up without Beeb & Graeham titled "Live Classics") Glenn's voice had been gravelly and in bad shape.Apparently, since then,Glenn's been taking much better care of his voice, and it shows:He now sounds like his old self again. As for the DVD,I could have done without the drum solo, but what the heck;it lets Graeham,Beeb & Glenn take a 5 minute coffee break, and gives the drummer & percussionist a "songwriting" royalty from the DVD.Beeb does a fine job of taking on the two Wayne Nelson vocal parts("The Night Owls" & the middle eight of "Take It Easy On Me").Maybe Beeb should have sung them originally! The backing band is very versatile, and most of them are equal to,or greater than their LRB predecessors(well, maybe Derek Pellici is occasionally missed).Still,a great DVD.

I did catch a '95 performance in St. Louis...Glenn was back on vocals...it was fun...but can't wait til the 3 of you (the real Little tiver Band) come back to USA...its great - you have come "full circle"!!
